We work hard across all areas of our business from sourcing materials, manufacturing processes, packaging design and waste management with the aim of minimising the impact our company has on the environment in an economically viable and sustainable way.

TravelSmart Scheme Herma is a successful participant in the Travel Smart Scheme that encourages employees to use sustainable transport methods as their preferred mode. As a part of this program, Herma has, with the assistance of Bicycle Victoria, recently installed a number of bike racks to cater for the ever increasing demand by cyclists within the company. Even in the middle of the Melbourne winter, cycling to work is a popular form of personal transportation for Herma staff. Herma firmly believes that having a healthy workforce provides numerous ongoing benefits for all concerned.
Green Power Energy Herma is demonstrating a strong commitment to help reduce carbon dioxide emissions and greenhouse gases in our environment by nominating that a proportion of our electricity use be from renewable sources such as sun, wind, water and waste.
National Packaging Covenant The National Packaging Covenant is a voluntary agreement between government and industry aimed at reducing the environmental impact of consumer packaging in Australia. Herma is proud to be a signatory to the covenant.
